A friend recently asked about whether I write for a specific audience.

I told him I tend to write for myself, my friends, and family. For example, in the above series the protagonist Albert Binax was named after Abbott Binax Laboratories who make a COVID test my uncle would bring to give to my family every time he came to visit my mother.

Dustin is named after a friend who also has a dog named Gumbo.

Ultimately, I try to have fun creating a scenario for the characters and capitalize on inside jokes.
